Melae and Zechariah’s Memorial
For last the 4 years my wife and I have fought for the lives of our children. We recently received an official diagnosis for them. They have Leigh’s disease. A mitochondrial degenerative disease where children aren't expected to live past the age of 7 years old.
Our children have lost most of their functions such as motility, mobility, cognitive abilities and more. They are both bed bound, dependent upon breathing machines, fed through tubes, and require 24 hours of care.
They currently are in the ICU at CHOP and we’re working to bring them home as there are no other options for treatment nor is there a cure for this disease. We’re bringing them home to spend as much quality time with them as we can until they depart from this Earth.
Donations will assist us to purchase items for their care at home, preparing space in our home to accommodate their equipment and supplies, funeral expenses, and medical debt.
