Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!

On April 16th, 2018, I will be running my 6th marathon, and my fourth consecutive Boston Marathon as a member of the Boston Fire Department team. I am honored to be a part of this team again, and to be running to support the Boston Firefighters Children's Fund, as well as The Thomas Quinn Scholarship Fund.

In 2006, Flt. Robert Kilduff formed the children's fund to assist children that felt the pain of losing all of their belongings due to fire during the holiday season. Within days, the fund provides checks to the families to help replaced articles that were destroyed in the fire. Since its inception, the fund also reaches out and helps neighborhood little leagues, church groups, playgrounds and many other groups to contribute to the children of Boston.

The family and friends of Thomas William Quinn have established a memorial scholarship which is presented to a dependent student of a Boston Fire Department employee. The purpose of the scholarship is to honor Tommy and help keep his memory strong.

Tommy exhibited many strong qualities that helped him overcome the many obstacles he encountered during his short life. He always took a challenge head on, keeping a positive attitude and always with a sense of humor. Tommy was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of six and battled through; blindness, chemotherapy and weekly visits to Dana Farber Jimmy Fund for eight years. He did not complain; he simply fought on. The Tommy Quinn Brain Tumor Research Fund at Dana Farber Cancer Institute has grown over the years and a true testament of his legacy. Tommy’s untimely death, at the young age of fourteen, changed our lives forever. The Quinn family is determined to honor Tommy’s legacy by honoring a student of a Boston Firefighter who possesses the qualities that our Tommy had; perseverance, integrity, a leader among his peers and service oriented.

As I prepare to run 26.2 miles, I am asking for your support to achieve my goal of raising $3,000. By donating, you will be providing support directly to children in Boston who have been adversely affected by fires, as well as honoring Tommy, and helping keep his memory strong through the memorial scholarship. Any donation towards helping me reach my goal and supporting this great cause is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your support. I will carry it with me from start to finish on April 16th, 2018!

See you at the finish line!!
