Megan's French Horn Fund
Donation protected
First of all, thank you for visiting my page. I appreciate any support I can get, even if that means someone can't donate but is willing to share the link to others to help me reach my goal.
As many of you know, I recently graduated from Thousand Oaks High School, and I was a French horn player in the Wind Ensemble for the past four years; playing the horn has become (and always will be) a significant part of my life, and I am very thankful that God has blessed me with a love for music so that I can participate in so many priceless opportunities and also share the gift of music with others. I have had the privilege to perform in different honor bands and play a concerto with the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, and I even had the opportunity to represent my high school in the United States Army All-American Marching Band this past January. Once I graduated, though, I turned in the horn I was playing, as I'd never owned one and always borrowed from the school. So that's why I decided to make this page.
I just found the perfect horn (an answer to prayers, no doubt) and am starting to make payments on it. I do have some money saved up from some scholarships as well as what I get from a couple jobs, but I'm still $1000 short.
It might also be important to note that I have enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and ship out for Basic Combat Training on September 4th, and I need to have the money raised by the end of August to make the last payment before I go off to training. When I get back from training in January, I will be pursuing both Pre-Medicine and music as a freshman at Cal Poly Pomona. And trust me, anything helps. I usually don't ask for a lot from people, but getting a horn really means so much to me; even if you can't donate, feel free to share my message and pray for me as I work toward my goal. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for any support.
