Please help Hunter get a new van!!!

Hunter's family is in the process of purchasing a new medical van for Hunter, as his current van is over 10 years old, no longer reliable and continues to require extensive/costly repairs, breaking down often.  His van MUST be replaced as soon as possible, as their primary focus is safety/reliability for Hunter's transportation.  All donations raised will help pay for this very much needed medical van!

In addition to needing to attend his regularly scheduled medical appointments, both in and out-of-state, Hunter simply wants to continue to enjoy his life/freedom, as you and I do, which requires safe/reliable transportation.  As most of you well know, Hunter is an extraordinarily vibrant and compassionate 12-year-old, never allowing his extremely rare disease, SMARD, to hold him back or slow him down from living passionately, as well as in service to others.  Hunter wants and deserves to continue to explore the world around him and very much wants to continue to make the lasting differences that he's made both near and far!

Hunter's family works tirelessly around-the-clock, every single day, to do all they possibly can to help meet all of his complex medical needs, and often without the support of their Insurance.  Despite this being financially devastating for them, they continue to face each day with a positive, loving and hopeful attitude, never giving up! This family has been and continues to be wholly dedicated to Hunter having an equal opportunity at life, despite his physical disabilities, due to SMARD, and along with Hunter, have deeply inspired so very many.

Please know that Hunter's medical Insurance will not pay one penny of cost for Hunter's medical van, rendering the family not only responsible for vehicle replacement, but also for all of the needed medical accommodations/equipment required for this van, as well as maintenance/repairs.  Total cost for this van and all needed medical accommodations is estimated at $65,000.  Please help us help Hunter and his family with the massive expenses involved in getting him a new medical van outfitted for his needs!!

PLEASE and THANK YOU FOR SHARING this page to help Hunter maintain his freedom!!! Hunter and family, along with myself, are extremely grateful for any and all support shared on Hunter's behalf! Together we can and will make a huge difference in Hunter's life, so he can continue to make the extraordinary difference that he does, too! This boy is truly an inspiration and thank you for helping Hunter get the van he so very much needs!

VAN UPDATE: Hi, everyone. Our family has been so very busy with Hunter's needs across settings since the holidays and are so sorry we haven't been able to update sooner. Here's the GOOD news: beyond the $5,210 in contributions raised so far on Hunter's Go Fund Me page, ANOTHER $5,200 in contributions were made directly to Hunter's medical trust, bringing the total raised so far to $10,410! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to every single person who has contributed, shared Hunter's need/link and have prayed for our family to be able to meet this need for Hunter. Here's the CHALLENGE and where we NEED YOUR HELP: In order to replace Hunter's medical van, we need to at least reach the goal of $15,000, in order to provide van downpayment. If you can PLEASE HELP our family and most importantly, HUNTER, in raising the $4,590 needed, it will make a huge and lasting difference in Hunter's life. ANY contribution amount at all will help and PLEASE SHARE Hunter's link across your social media. I know with love and hope, we can get there! So very much love and gratitude to you all, Sharon, Adam, Hunter and Cole

Hunter is a wonderful bright light in the life of all who meet him. His life is 100% dependent upon breathing apparatus, electricity, constant care, and so so much more. Hunter's mother cannot leave him at school due to the serious medical necessities he needs, which finding help and adequate nursing aid in the school system is beyond challenging. Thus, she is unable to work at a paying job to help with the family income. Hunter's father works endless hours, commuting long distances, just to try to make ends meet. The medical van used to transport Hunter to medical appointments, school, and any other place he needs to be, is almost getting beyond repair. It needs extensive work and very expensive work. The chairlift is often broken and his mother must manually crank the lift up and down, with the weight of Hunter and his wheelchair on it. Please help out if you can with any contribution to help ease the burden on Hunter's family. ALL of the medical equipment in his van is 0% covered by insurance. The need is so urgent now, more than ever. If you have already given, thank you for your generosity. If you cannot afford to, sharing this post and spreading the word is a huge help. Here is a letter to Hunter from his family. Keep the hope, kee the love..

"Dearest Hunter, you are not only a true pioneer and warrior, you are a real-life miracle. You are God’s genuine light shining for all to witness every single day. Being 1 of under 80 people WORLDWIDE with SMARD, defying all presented odds since birth so naturally, gracefully and gloriously, despite what we, as your parents were “told,” is our continued victory, son. From the very first moment, we knew better and always will, raising you with Him always in our hearts, minds and souls. Thank you, Lord, for your grace, strength and guidance, as we continue to blaze our own extraordinary trail through this life. Thank you to everyone who has shared their , support and hope with us along the way. Our family is extremely grateful always to each of you. All our love, Mom, Dad & Cole" #hopelovenevergiveup #bethechange #trailblazer #pioneerandwarrior #hunterstrong #wishesdocometrue #13andprovingthemwrong #givingourverybesteveryday

The struggle for Hunter continues. His medical van has had several breakdowns in the past few weeks. His mother has to manually crank the wheelchair lift up and down, with the weight of Hunter and his wheelchair and equipment on it. Again, we appeal to your generous side to find it in you to make some sort of contribution before it breaks down completely. This van not only gets Hunter to and from school, his many doctor appointments, but also enables his family to get him to his little brother's soccer games, birthday parties, school events, everywhere. Next time you just jump up and run out the door to your car and drive away, think of Hunter and all the time and effort it takes just to get him out the door and into the vehicle, and the equal effort it takes to get him out of the van upon arrival at his destination. Please, help out if you can, and share on every and all social media accounts you have is a HUGE help in getting the word out there. A very special thank you to all who've already contributed and/or shared from Hunter's family to you. Thank you for keeping this fundraiser going <3
