Vital Surgery for Sonia in the UK

My wife Sonia is a bright, loving and optimistic sweetheart with serious medical issues. Living in Celbridge but has been a patient in Tallaght hospital, Dublin, since April 2014, she has undergone dozens of surgeries to help her with her abdominal and gynaecological problems. These surgeries were ultimately unsuccessful, losing her bladder and suffering nerve damage in the process that has caused her to be left wheelchair bound. She has been left with a urostomy and colostomy and fights agonising pain every hour of every day of her life. Her condition leaves her open to regular bouts of sepsis and tissue breakdown, particularly in the abdominal area. She has been hospital dependant for the past 4 years.
Over the past few weeks though things have become more serious. Her physical condition has deteriorated dramatically and her surgeons have reluctantly concluded that surgery is now necessary. Without this surgery she would not survive outside a hospital environment. Unfortunately there is no one in Ireland skilled enough to perform the surgery so the intention is to have her flown to University College Hospital London in the next few weeks where surgery will be performed.
We have been through this exact situation back in 2013 when Sonia was flown to the UK for a similar surgery. She was hospitalised there post-surgery for many months afterwards. Sonia had no family in London and it was a lonely time. We travelled as often as we could to see her while she went through the slow process of healing. Financially it almost ruined us.
We are looking to put in place a fund that will help fund Sonia's stay in hospital in London and with associated costs for her and our family that will be a problem during that time.
