Medical Fund for Matt Holland

Please pray for, Matt Holland. He is 35 years old and married to Joni Alamo-Holland. They have the most beautiful daughter, Yara Hope Holland. He is self employed and loves spending time with his wonderful family! Matts dad coached me in High School baseball so I am starting this go fund me to try and help out a family who has always had everyone else's Interest in mind!
A few nights ago around 10:55 Joni called Matts parents and was concerned his breathing wasn't right. She couldn't wake him up. They told her they were on their way and call 911. They got to their house about 5-6 minutes later. She was on the phone with 911. They directed us to lay him on the floor and start CPR. They did this until paramedics arrived. They got a weak pulse and he was not breathing. They shocked him in the ambulance and strapped a CPR UNIT to his chest. They worked on him about 10-15 minutes in the driveway trying to stabalize him. When they arrived at the hospital, they were told the doctor would come and talk to them in a little while. They were in a waiting room for about 10 minutes before the dr told them they had a pulse and he was on a ventilator. The dr told them his brain was without oxygen and blood flow for so long that he could not offer us too much hope. His pupils are fixed and dilated...no response to painful stimuli and no gag reflex. The cat scan showed swelling in the brain...another bad sign. The EEG showed minimal brain activity and again minimal hope...short of a miracle. Another dr came in and said they were giving him med to reduce the swelling to get a better picture and anti stroke medication. He told them that Matt had suffered substantial brain loss and if it improved or didn't get worse...he would never walk again. They will do another EEG and cat scan tomorrow and if there is no improvement then some tough decisions have to be made. If there is any improvement...they will wait 24 hours and do more tests. The dr said talk to him, touch him anything to try to pull him back.
Yara loves her Dada. She told him that he was her best friend! The family is very close don't know how they are going to make it through this. A family member Kevin Lawrence, talked to him for what seemed like hours and Matt moved his leg and took 2 deep breaths. When his Dad and Mom, Joni and family members talked to him...his left arm moves or shakes. I know he would not want to live not knowing anything or having no dignity. We have turned this into Gods hands, He alone knows the plans He has for Matt and his family. That is all we know for now. Matt and his family do not have medical insurance and the hospital bills are building up. They need any help we can give them! Please pray for Matt's family, the Alamo family and the many people who love him...Thank you so much!
