Medical Fund for David Kenney

My uncle, David Kenney, is in the hospital. He was diagnosed years ago with congenital heart failure and previously had a kidney removed due to cancer. His remaining kidney is failing and his heart function is down to around 40% as of this morning. Between the two, his body is not able to get rid of the fluid he is building up.

They have started kidney dialysis, which is helping some, but there is every probability that he will be on dialysis a few times a week for the rest of his life - the doctors are weighing that option as we speak.

When my uncle comes home from the hospital, he will be facing a mountain of new expenses - his copays for his medications and doctor visits alone are several hundred dollars a month and he will be in a heavily restricted cardiac and kidney diet that, for someone on disability, is going to be prohibitively expensive.

There are other things he needs as well:

- batteries for his get-around scooter (it's how he gets around his house and to the grocery store up the road)

- a new mattress for his bed

So on his behalf, I am asking for help. All donations will go 100% toward his medical and dietary care.
