Medical Expenses/Baby Reagan
Donation protected
The family of Caitlin Gilley and Jonathan Mason were expecting a beautiful, healthy, baby girl to arrive in this world February 5th. An appointment on January 22nd showed Baby Reagan's heart rate was perfect, weight was chunky but perfect, and was told she could come at any time now. The morning of Saturday the 26th, pain arose and we rushed to the hospital expecting that it could be the day. After several heart rate checks and finally an ultrasound, it was determined that Reagan was no longer with us. Caitlin had a placental abruption but had shown no signs leading up to the hospital visit to have indicated the accident. She was rushed into delivery and almost lost her life giving birth to Baby Reagan, losing almost 3 liters of blood, requiring multiple transfusions, plasma, and several other donations and blood work.
Reagan came into the world at 8lbs and 7 oz, measuring 20 inches long but already carrying her wings and although we did not get to say goodbye or hear her laugh, cry...we got to spend the next 48 hours by her side, saying our goodbyes and promising we would see her again soon. Reagan Brooke Mason was cremated and a service held on January 31st, 5 days before her official due date. Caitlin and I are forever grateful to each and every family member, friend, coworker, or anyone who has sent us prayers, donations, assistance in what we could use. While we are forever grateful, we also anticipate and know that the impending hospital bills will place a severe strain on our family. We respect each and every person who visits this page, even if your donation and contribution is a prayer chain, 1 dollar, or sharing the page. Everything contributed to this and to us mentally, physically, emotionally is 100% appreciated and neither of us could ever begin to thank each person who has and will be there for us as we continue growing as a family and moving forth with Reagan in our hearts.
Reagan Brooke Mason is survived by...
Parents: Jonathan Mason & Caitlin Gilley
Sister: Adalynn Grace Gilley
Grandparents: Tracy & Jennifer Gilley/Kim Blevins & Doug Mason
Aunts: Hannah Gilley & Michelle Foster
Thank you all! Tuck your kids in tight tonight and never stop saying I love you!
