Medical Expenses for Nick Husted

Donation protected

On May 16th, Nick Husted and another player collided in the outfield, getting knocked out and not regaining consciousness for about 12 hours, while playing a sport he loves, Softball! He was transported by helicopter to Harborview in Seattle. He has a skull fracture and broken bone in his ear. Nick has a beautiful wife and a little boy that just turned 3! He is the main provider for his family. His insurance is only going to cover approximately 80% of his medical bills, leaving him to pay the rest. Anyone that has ever had to take and ambulance to the hospital, knows how much an ambulance ride is, let alone a helicopter ride! He will have to stay in the hospital for a little bit, which will keep him from work, as well as rack up the medical bill! As well as babysitter for their son, and gas money for having to travel back and forth almost 3 hours round trip! Let’s band together as a community and help him out! Everyone can afford a few bucks to help out. At Pendergast park leagues alone there is approximately 1000 players. If each one donated $5 we can reach our goal and really help our fellow friend/athlete out in a time of need.
