Medical Expenses for Donia

Donia has faced  a number of medical complications this year, and this weekend she was admitted to the ICU for several blood clots in her lungs and leg.  Unfortunately, the medicine that is supposed to dissolve her clots caused a severe anaphylactic reaction. As of today, her blood pressure remains unstable and her doctors continue to be baffled by her current condition. There are many questions that remain and many tests to complete in order to find answers. With orders of strict bed rest, she now faces what will be days, if not weeks, away from the job she loves: teaching her middle school ELA students. There is no question that the surmounting medical costs, paired with the necessary time off work, will be more than any teacher could cover alone.
