Medical Bills for Shelburne Family

My name is Karla Shelburne I am the youngest daughter of Daniel and Mary Shelburne. Within the same week, my 70year old father was re-diagnosed with prostate cancer and my 66year old mother was admitted to the hospital for the West Nile Virus. This particular disease is transmitted through misquotes, my mother loves to garden and was outside in our front yard when she was bit.  Normally when someone gets West Nile it seems like any other cold. However, in rare cases such as my mother’s they experience symptoms similar to a stroke. She can’t talk very well, her memory is hazy, she can’t walk on her own, she is having trouble eating and drinking, her hands shake and can’t grip anything very easily. She is going through treatment and therapy and has been for 4 weeks. My father is a Vietnam veteran, he has many health issues including bad knees, shoulders, back, and PTSD. He has already started treatment for his cancer and it is already taking a toll on him. His treatments will last for 8 months total if not more. I am a sophomore in college I am the only one living at home other than my parents, I will be looking after both of them full time. I dropped out of school to take care of them. They are my number one priority. We need this money as soon as possible to pay their medical bills. Please donate whatever you can to help my family, even just $2 can go a long way for us right now.
