Medical and Cancer Treatment Needs
Donation protected
Hello. This is one of the hardest things to do. Asking for help, especially for monetary help, was not done in our family. You took what you were dealt and made the best of it. But I no longer have that ability. I have cancer in my neck, jaw, and my lymph system. I have had one round of radiation and chemotherapy and we believed that I was in remission. Just a couple of months later, the cancer is back. Radiation is out as the cancer is in the area that had already received treatment. We are going to restart the chemotherapy and hope that we can slow it down. When asked about how much time I have, the doctor replied, "months'. We knew my cancer was aggressive so this shouldn't surprise us. It was aggressive enough that even receiving radiation and chemo, my previous tumors still grew in size. I have already had multiple radiation sessions, chemo with two different medications, and three surgeries. When I looked at my clinic and hospital bills, it is already over $23,000. I can't leave such a large amount for my husband to deal with. He's had enough. When we were told 'months', the full entirety of death loomed over us. I only hope to get the medical bills down to a level in which can be managed. We also hope that this next round of chemo will buy me some more time. If you feel you can help, it will be welcomed by my grateful heart.
