Medford Strikers - Soccer Abroad!

Soccer Experience Abroad:
U16 Academy Boys - Medford Strikers Soccer Club

They are a team of soccer enthusiasts who train hard and play hard in several soccer leagues across New Jersey and the broader Philadelphia Region. Their individual and team character exemplifies commitment to the sport and each other. Our boys are looking to take their skills internationally for two weeks this coming fall. In the hopes that the team can all travel together for this experience, we are raising funds to offset the costs for our families. Funds raised will go directly to the team trip costs including airfare, housing, meals, ground transportation, cultural tours, soccer game and field fees.

This will be the first team in Medford Strikers Soccer Club history to play together abroad! It will set the stage for Girls and Boys teams in our Club to have this experience in the future.

And, this is not just a soccer experience! It will be filled with cultural exposure as well as working as a team on and off the field, giving our boys life lessons to take with them in the future. Trip chaperones will instill the following:

** Disciplined schedule each day: Adjusting to time zone differences and maintaining local schedule quickly - Training, Rest, Games

** Healthy Eating Habits: Daily mix of fruits, vegetables, proteins, carbohydrates and the importance of hydration

** Sharing House Responsibilities: Small rotating teams assigned to cooking, cleaning and laundry tasks

** Local Culture: The team will take time in their schedule to experience the local culture and history through walking tours, public transportation and eating local cuisine.
