Meatball's road to recovery

Hello Everyone,

I'm sure most of Dave Miles’ friends and family have heard the sad news that Dave (affectionally known as Meatball) was involved in a serious road collision on the 17th October, where he had to be induced into a coma and airlifted to Addenbrookes hospital.

Dave is one of the most generous, kind hearted people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He’s an incredibly caring individual who’s selflessness outweighs his hairiness. He’s helped me far more often than I can recall and I’m certain that I am not alone, there are many of us who are proud to call him a friend.

Although Dave is now out of his coma, this will be a long recovery process and he will need the support of his family and friends to help him get back to where he needs to be.

We aren’t sure how long Dave will need to recuperate and of course we all wish him a rapid recovery. However he is self employed, so in the meantime we can’t have him worrying about rushing back to work to pay the bills. Because of this we, his friends, are hoping that we can get together and raise a few quid to help tide him over until he’s back on his bare feet.

At first we set a target of £500, we didn't want to be cheeky, and that was smashed in a just few hours. I've since raised it a few times, but the target is irrelevant as there is no real end goal. Evidently Dave has an incredibly generous bunch of friends, so let's ignore the target and just keep going!
