McKinley's Medical Fund

McKinley was born on March 31st,2014 to Kayleigh and Chad... They were so excited when they found out they were having a baby girl who was due to come into the world on April fools day... luckily McKinley came when she wanted and didn't end up with a fools day birthday :) ... Unfortunatley during Kayleigh's pregnancy with McKinley she got some bad news with only 2 months to go before her baby girl would come into the world she was told that her baby would be born with some difficulties :( ... during an ultrasound by a maternal fetal specialist Kayleigh was told that McKinley would be born with a brain problem... Chad and Kayleigh were heart broken but happy to have a baby so when she was born they got an MRI done and waited for the results... they then went up to Portland and met with a baby neurological dr and were told that they cyst that was found in McKinley's brain was for now OK... However she will need to be constantly watched and make visits to portland to make sure that the cyst continues to not be a problem... if it ever is she will need surgerey. After the news that their baby would be ok with the cyst and just need to be watched for signs of any problem but hopefully not have one they went to their regular baby well check for their 3 month apt and were sent to the Emergency Pediatrics ward due to a heart murmer which is very common with babies... Once agian bad luck came McKinley's way and after an echo gram on her heart and a sleepless night in the RVMC hospital they were told that she had a pretty big VSD hole in her heart :( a hole between her right ventracle and left ventracle that would "hopefully" heal on it's own however may need surgerey since she already had fluid built up in her lungs and wasn't gaining weight properly due to an enlarged heart and the hole :( ... McKinley is now taking Lasix everyday to help rid her lungs of the fluid that was filling up in them and she is on her way back to Portland to now see a baby cardiologist. With all the traveling and medical expenses Kayleigh and Chad have racked up far too many bills and are behind on them :( McKinley will need all the help she can get anything helps....
