HELP US GET KIDS BACK TO NATURE TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER AND JUST BE A KID!

“If you want to do something nice for a child, give them an environment where they can touch things as much as they want.”  - Buckminster Fuller

When the new Children’s Garden at McKee opens in late Spring 2019, it will be just that, a place where children can EXPLORE, DISCOVER, and JUST BE A KID!

Hi, my name is Allie and I am Chomping at the Bit for the new Children’s Garden to open!  There are so many things going on right now, you just have to come by the Garden and see for yourself!  The Pirate Shipwreck and Grand Discovery Tree are still under construction and are amazing!  There are mushrooms sprouting up all over throughout the future site of the Fairy Forest and the entrance to the Children’s Garden is being installed.

PLEASE consider making a donation to our GoFundMe to help us Get Kids Back to Nature! It is so easy…Just click on the DONATE NOW button and you will be able to make a donation!  It doesn’t matter how BIG or small, we appreciate any and all!  Be sure to tell all your friends we need help! Thank you so much to all of those who have already made a contribution to this important mission!  See ya later Gator and I look forward to seeing you in the new Garden when it opens!

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET KIDS BACK TO NATURE TO  EXPLORE, DISCOVER AND JUST BE A KID!
The new Children's Garden at McKee, which is scheduled to open in 2019, will soon be a reality for children.  The new garden will provide an engaging place for families and will allow for expanded educational opportunities and programs to encourage young visitors to fall in love with nature as its future stewards. The new Children's Garden at McKee will feature a Lily Pad Water Walk, a Karst Hideout and Splash Fountain, Bamboo Village and Huts, a life-sized Pirate shipwreck, Fairy House and  Fairy Forest, and Educational Amphitheater where children can gather for plays, workshops and crafts, and a Blue Crab Reading Circle and Stumpery.

As our children become more and more engaged in technology and virtual interaction takes the place of physical interaction with the world, the time is now to ensure an outdoor “no-screens” resource becomes available for them. And what better organization to do so than McKee Botanical Garden!

PLEASE HELP US GET KIDS BACK TO NATURE!

Make a donation of $25, $50, $100 or more with a one-time contribution or a recurring monthly gift. You can designate your gift to be in honor of your child or in memory of someone special.

Send out emails to your friends, family and business associates asking them to get involved in the “Just Be A Kid” campaign.

Share our Children’s Garden at McKee fundraising page with your friends, family and co-workers and encourage them to make their own donation to help get kids outside.

Every donation, no matter how big or small will help bring thousands of children and countless generations outdoors and back to nature.
