Coles Top Surgery

Hello, my name is Cole.

For those of you who don't know me - I'm a transgender male which means I was born as Female but I am currently in the process of transitioning to Male. I've never felt comfortable growing up as female and have never felt like I fit in with other females my age. Two years ago I found out what transgender actually was and for me it opened up my world.

I've recently started Testosterone injections which has helped me feel more at ease with my body and has helped relieve some of my gender dysphoria. If you don't know what gender dysphoria is its when a person experiences discomfort or distress because there is a mismatch between their biological sex and gender.

I'm making this GOFUNDME page to help me raise money for my top surgery (double mastectomy) which will be a life changing operation for me and means I will no longer have to bind my chest. I've had a private consultation and been quoted £6750 and I'm currently trying to save as much money as I can.

I'm also currently on the nhs waiting list for top surgery which is a 4 year + waiting list but as I work 12 hour shifts I am unable to bind my chest due to the pain and due to a binder causing health problems after after wearing it for more than 6 hours. Having this surgery means everything to me and I'm doing everything I can to make it happen.
