My name is Rebecca. I am a 22 year old student. On 16th December 2016 I had double jaw surgery to correct my underbite.
This is something that made simple tasks such as eating difficult. The affect, however it had on my mental health was much worse. I was constantly asked questions like "why does your face look like that" and "what's wrong with your chin". Having the double jaw surgery has helped me in so many ways. However my ten year journey is not yet over.
I have gaps in my teeth and missing teeth with also brought years of bullying when I was younger. This is due to genetics and it meant that when my baby teeth fell out there was no adult teeth behind.
Now In June 2017 my braces will be coming off and I would like to raise money to be able to get veneers and dental implants. I have 8 missing teeth, and some of my teeth are oddly shaped as that's the way they grew. As the braces cannot close all the gap and bring back missing teeth. This is something I am saving up for but I need some help.
I know there are people in this world that have it much worse than I do. However, this is a tough battle for me and would appreciate any help to finally end this long battle for me.
