Mazi Mas Refugee Pop Up Restaurant
Donation protected
Mazí Mas is a pop-up restaurant project. By hosting dining events in Sydney Mazi Mas provides training and employment opportunities for long-term unemployed migrant, refugee and asylum seeker women who have work rights in Australia on bridging visas.
Mazi Mas receive requests to cater events but are not currently equipped to do so.
With $1,000 in donations:
1. Mazi Mas will invest in cooking equipment including rice cookers, industrial pots and serving platters allowing them to grow catering operations and take on paid jobs
2. Maxi Mas will fund the administrative support required to grow catering operations
With $2,000 in donations:
Mazi Mas will fund training courses for new recruits: the Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate and the Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. These are practical and local qualifications that will help their team find ongoing work in Australia and support their skill development
