May Beagle recently went through heartworm treatment and has struggled with complications since. She is currently hospitalized at Veterinary Specialty Services. Her lungs and heart are extremely inflamed and filling with fluid. The doctor is concerned about blood clots and congestive heart failure. May Beagle has been in an oxygen tank since last night and will be seeing a cardiologist first thing this morning. VSS will update us after they perform an ECG and ultra sound.
We had to pay a $900 deposit just to get started on treatment and testing. We were estimated a cost of up to $1,800 depending on test results.
