Maximus Vs Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone , our names are Patricia Flynn and Austin Payne. We are the parents of 4 wonderful children Dominick (7yr) , Lylah (4yr) , Maximus (2) and Austin Jr. (3mths). Our Maximus was diagnosed with Tricuspid Atresia before even being born. He was supposed to have surgery as soon as he was born but was lucky enough to not need the first step of surgery which would have been Blalock-Taussig shunt. When he was about 6 months old he recieved open heart surgery , Hemi-Fontan/Glenn. He has been doing so well and will need another open heart surgery when he turns 4yr old , called the Fontan. Now on top of all of that he sadly has been recently diagnosed with cancer. One day his brother Dominick was standing on a ball while little Maximus was playing on the floor next to him. The ball slipped from underneath Dominick , causing him to fall ontop of little Maximus. Maximus was crying in so much pain i rushed him to the hospital. X-rays showed that he had a fracture right below the knee. X-rays also showed lesions in his right leg. One in the ankle , one right where the break had occurd and one in his hip. The lesion below his knee had made his bone so weak , thats why his leg broke so easily. At first we did not know it was cancer , we were just told it could be something as small as a cyst but worst case scenario it could be tumors. So we took him for a biopsy , which revealed it is cancerous tumors called Epithloid sarcoma-like pseudomjosenic hemangioendothelioma. Doctor say its a very rare form , which could spread. But doesnt usually ... so his doctor sent him for MRIs to make sure it wasn't spreading. The MRI revealed that he now has a tumor in his brain stem. One that doesn't look the same as the ones in his leg ...it is an inch wide and doesnt look aggressive and seems to be benign , so we will now keep and eye on that one. Doctors are nervous to biopsy it because of it being in such a dangerous spot. He could possibly loose some function in his face. So they will not biopsy unless its truly needed. So now back to his leg , we are looking towards trying medicine to shrink the tumors or even make them go away. Worst case scenario doctors say if tumors continue to grow or spread they would sadly have to amputate his leg. We are grieving like any other parents would , we have just been at loss for words. We are trying so hard to stay strong for little Maximus. Money ofcourse is a big issue for us , we aren't financially stable. After my fiances great grandfather passed away that we were living with we pretty much lost everything. We do not own a car and we are now all living in a 27 foot trailer , trying to make ends meet and barley able to get around to doctors appts. , food shopping ect. . My fiance works off the books as much as he can and trys so hard to take care of us all on his own..... if you could find it in your hearts to help us in any way that you can , we so deeply appreciate anything and everything!
God bless you all
