maxillofacial (Head&neck cancer)

Hello everyone thank you for taking the time in reading why we are raising money well in 2014 my mum was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma which is cancer in her throat/neck after all the chemo and radiotherapy my mum had it left the bone in her jaw very weak and brittle one day she walked into a door and broke the bone, December the 6th my mum was taken to East Grinstead hospital to have an operation to replace the jaw bone from a bone in her leg she had many complications along the way, we was told she would only been in hospital for 10 days but 10 days turned into 6 weeks, we spend Christmas Day in hospital as a family, the reason we want to raise money for the Maxillofacial team is because they did everything in there powers to help my mum the nurses were amazing one of them even gave up her mcdonalds meal for my little cousin daisy we can thank them enough and we want to show them just how thank you we are by trying to raise money for the department. On the 30th July me and my mum will be climbing over the London 02 I’m scared of heights so this is going to be a big challenge for me but I’m going to do it, I just want to say a huge thank you to all the nurses and doctors who helped my mum be here today to still see the world and I want to thank everyone for helping us raise money for the hospital that helped save my mums life
