MATTHYS YOUTH LEAGUE REPAIRS

Matthys Baseball and Softball Leagues need your help! Maurice Matthys park is the oldest of all youth baseball or softball leagues in the South Bend area! Just like any historic park like Fenway or even Wrigley, updates and upgrades need to be made over time Some parks get the help of townships or other contributers, but Matthys does not.

Our goal is to make this the best youth ballpark in the area all over again! Unfortunately, the roof on the concession stand is slowly coming loose and causing issues, the batting cages are slowly caving in from the top, and the fencing on the diamonds and yellow tops are older and indenting and breaking. We have big plans to make Matthys great again, and this go fund me is the start of many fundraisers to come.  

Every dollar counts to be sure that the West Siders have a place to playball instead of being left to run around all summer.  Many of us have spent many years with Matthys and have great memories. I myself splayed there for 9 years, and have coached for 18 seasons. The kids need this park and we are out to make it better than ever! Every dollar helps guys. Can you help? Let's give the kids a park to be proud of! The first order of business are the roof on the concession stand and the batting cages! We can make sure Matthys lasts for many years to come!
