This is a story of how life can turn on a sixpence and turn a family holiday into a medical nightmare.
Matthew went on a much needed holiday with his wife Pamela and young daughter Sophia. What started out as a simple sore throat within 48 hours of landing in Majorca, turned into life threatening sepsis and Matthew needing to be placed in an induced coma. He had to wait for over a month to be flown home to the UK and remains in hospital whilst they stabalise his condition.
As a result of the sepsis, Matthew now needs multiple amputations and this page is to raise funds for appropriate prosthetics, to enable him to have the best possible start on his long road to recovery.
