Matthew Workman's - Time to Talk Campaign

Donation protected
We are creating an outreach program that will target teens and young adults to generate awareness for hidden depression, to help friends and family identify the signs, and serve as a resource for the steps that can be taken to save lives.  Suicide affects us all - it is time to start talking about it and take away the shame.

Matthew Workman was a sweet soul, loving son and protective brother.

He died at the age of 21 from hidden depression.  He never told anybody or let on that anything was wrong.  He always had a smile on his face and seemed happy.

He was a senior in Chemical Engineering at The Ohio State University.  He was a good student and even checked his grades the day he took his own life.

He graduated from Dublin Coffman High School with a 4.021 GPA.  He was on the honor roll and an AP Scholar with Honors.

He loved adventure.  At the age of 16, he was an AFS Exchange student to Japan.

Some of his favorite things were:
·  Animals - especially an 8-pound Havanese named Muffin and a 15- pound calico named Amber
·  Gaming with his friends
·   Yu-gi oh cards
·   Hiking/nature’s beauty
·   Peace
·   Sushi, spicy food and sour patch kids
·   Friends and family
·   Cuddling
·   Scary movies
·   Grey sweatshirts and green t-shirts
·    Museums/learning
·   Trying new adventures
·    Playing the violin
