I am Auntie Marcia.  On July 12, 2017, my nephew Matthew Rozell had a massive heart attack.  He arrested and had to be brought back...he aspirated into his lung which then caused a serious pneumonia infection.  He had a cardiac catherization, and when the hospital requested I sign consent, the cardiologist said this to me, “You do know he is most likely not going to survive this”.  He survived, when they wheeled him out of the operating room his entire head was purple…in ICU, six nurses and doctors worked on him the entire night trying everything thing they knew how to do to keep him alive.  He was on maximum life support.

Matt is still in need of a pacemaker, will need to be on heart medication for life now.  Until the infection is cleared they are not able to perform any additional surgery or procedures.  He remains in the Glens Falls Hospital.  His parents flew in from their home in Florida and his two sisters from Massachusetts; and as you know, Matthew lives in Florida and was visiting me here in NY for a family reunion over the weekend of July 8th.  Matthew does not have health insurance and has a long recovery ahead of him.

It is a miracle he is alive and he needs our help…Many of us love Matthew deeply, not only his family, but his hundreds of friends from around the world.  I humbly ask that if you could help Matt now financially it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart - God bless you!

Thank you for you're continued support Matt improves a bit more each day. It is hard for him to not be active and working hard. However, he is doing as the doctor instructed - taking it easy and having a few small outings to build his strength for his next procedure on August 8th. We so appreciate your thoughts and prayers and for your financial support.

Thank you all for your generous support toward Matthew. He had his first post hospital doctor visit yesterday, and will have his next procedure on Aug 8th which will test the damage and function of his heart. During this testing it will be decided if Matt will need to have a permanent defibrillator implanted. They will do the implant that day if it is determine to be necessary in preventing another full arrest should he have another heart attack. Overall Matt is doing better each day, he tires easily and has other health related issues he is healing from do to this horrific heart attack and days on full life support. However, he is an amazing guy, strong, positive thinking and eager to resume his life back in Florida. We so appreciate your prayers and financial support for Matt. It is not easy to say the least, to be out of work and dealing with such major health issues, your support his helping to ease some of that stress. If you haven't given yet, I would encourage you consider it. Matthew is a friend to all and right now he needs that friendship returned. Thank you again and God bless you all for your donation. Today is ten days since Matt was rush to the hospital, having lost life three times, subsequently place on full life support in ICU, Doctor stating to me "he most likely will not survive". God had a different plan and our family is forever grateful. Matt lots so much better, however he has a long journey ahead of him to full recovery. His body has been 'Assaulted' every which way and his continued healing is what we pray for every day. Matt will continue to stay with me as he recovers, we are currently being told this will be a minimum of 30 days. We humble ask for your support, praying most of all, however if you have ever been touch by Matt, please touch him back now and help him rest from financial concerns as he heals. Your loving donations are so very much appreciated! Thank you

Thank you all for your continued prayer and support. Matt is improving with 'baby steps' each day and it is a challenge to make him rest; which is what he needs most right now. He's an active guy, so laying on a hammock on my front porch, no matter the beautiful view of the Adirondack Mountain's has been a test for him. His humor is completely intact, so the house is filled with laughter when his mom is not trying to quite us all so her 'baby' can rest. Thank you again for your continued prayer and support. Matt sure needs it!
