Wheelchair Accessible Van for Matt!

On December 8 of 2016, our best friend Matthew Armstrong was in a car accident that unfortunately caused him to sustain long-term traumatic injuries that have drastically changed his living circumstances. He has been staying at Markham Stouffville Hospital since the accident and has worked extremely hard in rehabilitation over the last year and a half, overcoming tremendous obstacles.
Matt is a fun-loving, adventurous guy who enjoys being with his friends and family but due to the severity of his injuries he has not been able to head back home. We are hoping to raise enough money to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for the Armstrong family, along with the necessary renovations that need to be made to their home so we can finally allow Matt to transition back to his normal life. The cost of the van itself is estimated at around $60,000 - $70,000.
We recently rented a van to take Matt to see the new Avengers movie (a movie he has been waiting a LONG time to see) and we all had such a great time. We haven't been able to see Matt very much outside of the hospital so we are all so excited to be able to take him out again in the near future. A wheelchair accessible van would make outings like this more frequent and will definitely improve his overall quality of life.
