Adam's Alternative Treatment Fund

Donation protected
On June 5th, Rickey and Shannon Matherne’s 14 month old son, Adam drowned. He slipped out of the house while they were leaving for their daughters’ softball game and was found lifeless in the pool 3 minutes later.  Although CPR was performed by parents, grandparents, EMS, and the local hospital, Adam was without a heartbeat for over 80 minutes.  Only after being baptized in the Emergency Room, Adam’s heart started beating again.  Adam was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is our warrior, our miracle and we will fight for him as long as we breathe.  Adam has defied the doctor’s prognosis and continues to improve with each passing day but he needs hyperbaric oxygen and stem cell infusions that are considered “alternative” medicine for non-fatal drownings and are not covered by insurance.  Because Rickey and Shannon need to travel from PA for these procedures- transportation, respiratory therapists, nurses, therapy sessions, equipment, and other travel expenses will be out of pocket, as well.  We appreciate all of your continued support and prayers. To follow Adam’s journey, please visit Prayers for Adam on Facebook. Our hometown benefit will be Sept 30th in Lafitte LA.  We'd love you to be a part of Adam's recovery.  With every breath, we hope.
