Mateo Tough - Fighting Leukemia

Mateo Goldman was suddenly diagnosed on Nov 20, 2016 with Leukemia (B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL), which is a type of cancer in the blood. Mateo is an active, happy, funny, tough and caring 8 year old boy in 3rd grade at Driscoll School in Brookline, MA. He has three wonderful siblings, Leo (10), Milo (5) and Violet (2). His parents are Mandy and Nick Goldman, who are kindhearted, caring and genuine individuals. Mateo loves playing lacrosse and football. He is also a talented artist and loves to goof off and be silly with his friends. Mateo has a great smile, kind heart and an easy going manner.
Mateo is currently getting chemotherapy at Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. His condition is very treatable but he sure has a long and intense road ahead of him. He is a fighter and his treatment plan is approximately over 2 years. Mateo’s first month of treatment is most intense, as the fight centers around putting the Leukemia into remission. We are praying for Mateo and hoping that his road to recovery will be as smooth as possible.
Mandy and Nick have been completely blindsided by the news and are full steam ahead with Mateo in his fight. They are also still managing and balancing home life with Mateo's three siblings. These are challenging times for Nick and Mandy. Many people have asked how they can help. The best way to help is to donate here. Nick and Mandy will have to deal with unexpected medical expenses, income fluctuation, trip fees for treatment visits and daily household fees, with which raised funds will assist. Taking these things off their plate will help the Goldman family focus on what is most important, which is being together as a family and helping Mateo get better. Donations to Mateo will help the Goldmans in the future and they really appreciate anything you do.
With any additional funds raised, the Goldmans will plan to donate it back to families dealing with Leukemia.
