Mateo Peralta's Medical Fund

On December 21st, just four days before Christmas, my best friend Mateo Peralta was diagnosed with Leukemia. He recently started chemotherapy treatments. He's a 20 year-old journalism student at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Unfortunately, in order to pursue agressive treatments it is necessary for Mateo to take a leave of absence from his studies. Mateo is one of the brightest, kindest, most talented people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He is constantly giving so much of his time and energy to help others, and so I thought it was necesary to help give back to my friend who has given so much of himself to others on a daily basis. Donations raised will be used to help support Mateo's family pay for his in and out of hospital expenses. Additionally, your donations will help pay for other expenses  while he is unable to work because I know this will be a big help if he can't work full time during the summer.
