Matching Campaign for Cats

Imagine for a moment that you are a beautiful cat. You spend your days chasing toys, laying in the sunshine, and cuddling with your human family. What if one day all of this abruptly changed and you were given away? How would that make you feel?
The Goathouse Cate Refuge (nonprofit 501c3) located in Pittsboro, North Carolina is none other than a miracle for lost and abandoned cats (and some dogs). Open to the public each day from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., prospective owners can come and visit with cats in this amazing village. High fences surround the property allowing for the cats to roam outside while also having access to the indoors. It is an amazing view to watch a dozen cats sunning on the porch or running in the fields.
The Goathouse has truly became a refuge because many of the cats have been abandoned in their old age by owners who decide to adopt younger animals or do not want to pay expensive medical bills.
Some amazing donors have stepped up this spring to do a matching gift campaign. They will match dollar for dollar all the way up to $16,500 to help pay for the medical bills for cats that are in need of oral surgery or thyroid treatment. Help us reach our GoFundMe Goal of $4,000.
The Goathouse Cat Refuge is an amazing place run day in and day out by volunteers and one amazing caretaker. Siglinda Scarpa is an amazing woman who lives on the property and takes care of all of the cats each day.
