Matarisu School Build

Off the beating track sits Matarisu school in North East Efate, a beautiful primary school and kindergarten looking after just under 100 kids coming from villages afar to learn. To say this school and the hard working teachers deserve some support is an understatement, whilst they are carefree and happy to persevere under challenging conditions, to really give the students the best opportunity they need help to create a place where students have access to modern technology and resources including computers and sewing machines all to be set up in a new building to create a environment to which they can spend their time reading or learning new skills.

We are looking to initially raise money to build the library/Tech room and then the community have big dreams to what we will achieve from there. Every child should have the opportunity and access to computers, sewing machines & other resources to learn invaluable skills which will be the foundation of their careers. We already have some sewing machines ready to donate and a laptop and local trainers ready to step in and provide valuable training once the building is complete.

With your support and the efforts of local businesses and events, we hope to raise enough money to complete the library build and purchase much needed resources to go inside including solar energy to power the equipment.
