Hello everyone, my name is Vaiva!
I am a Lyric Soprano, currently a first year Masters student at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. I graduated from the Lithuania Academy of Music and Theatre with a Bachelor degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
Having arrived in the UK with nothing just over a year ago I have worked as hard as I can, first by waitressing, and then increasingly by teaching piano and singing. This covered my rent and private singing lessons in order to audition and then prepare for my postgraduate course.
At the moment I am very happy to be a part of Trinity Laban and to have so many opportunities to work with the professional tutors, vocal coaches and collaborate in the opera scenes, masterclasses and other projects. However, the tuition fees are very high and even though I am studying and working at the same time, I cannot manage to keep going without help.
After my studies I would like to continue my teaching and share my knowledge about the singing techniques. Also I want to inspire pupils and help them to reach their purpose. Moreover, I want to perform in the various places and update you all about the concerts, masterclasses and shows where I will participate in the future.
My aim with this GoFundMe page is to raise money for my tuition fees and practical living costs.
