Massimo Ferrera and his wife are currently in the States for their son Dany's wedding, however Massimo was rushed to the hospital late last night.

He has an infection that spread to his blood and caused a very high fever that made him delirious and incoherent. He'll be in the hospital for a couple days on antibiotics but is starting to feel better.

Please continue to pray for healing for him and for peace for the rest of the family, especially Dany and Victoria who are getting married tomorrow.

The Ferrera family currently serve at Schloss Heroldeck in Millstatt, Austria as the chef's for the Calvary Chapel Conference Center.

If you would like to help with the medical costs as well as the costs for unforseen travel changes for the family  it would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Update on Massimo:

Hey all, just wanted to give you another update on how Massimo is doing, and give more of the full story of the last few days.

He was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon and is looking and feeling much better today. The doctor said it will be a couple weeks before he's fully recovered, but by the end of the week he should feel much stronger. His blood pressure is still elevated which delayed his release yesterday, so you can continue to pray for that to come down.

Thursday he wasn't feeling great and decided to stay home that afternoon while the rest of the family went to pick up other family from the airport. Elisa talked to him around 7pm at which point he was ok but going to head to bed and get some rest. Victorias parents found him a couple hours later in his room shaking and incoherent. They couldn't move him and had to have him transported by ambulance to the hospital. He doesn't remember anything between talking to Elisa and waking up in the ER hours later. He was diagnosed with an acute UTI and severe sepsis. The doctors say the strain of bacteria was a very aggressive one, but responds well to the correct antibiotics. At first they thought the infection had maybe affected his heart, but after several tests over the weekend they said the heart looks good.

Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and comfort for him as it was difficult for him to not attend the wedding.

Thank you to those whom have prayed and donated, the road is long but God is good.
