Más vida al corazón de Ilusión

Hola a todos. Mi nombre es Ilusión Morales de Fernández, portadora de la cédula de identidad E-720.006, viuda de Juan Fernández. Tengo 78 de años de edad, y vivo en Caracas, Venezuela.

Llegué a este hermoso país a tan solo 18 años de edad. Aquí vi nacer a mis 3 hijas y a mis 5 nietos. Venezuela siempre ha sido y será mi hogar. Sin embargo, enfrento una condición de salud que, debido a la dura situación económica de mi país, me obliga a pedir ayuda por esta vía.

Tengo un marcapaso que me fue implantado hace 10  años y que debe ser reemplazado urgentemente, pues a su batería solo le quedan 7 meses de duración. Soy una persona saludable, y deseo vivir mucho más para seguir viendo a mi familia crecer y prosperar, pero necesito ayuda para que mi corazón siga latiendo.

Un marcapaso nuevo cuesta $2200 para la fecha en la que escribimos esto. Su precio en bolívares es 572.000.000 BsF. (quinientos setenta y dos millones de bolívares). Adicionalmente, el presupuesto de la intervención que conlleva el reemplazo de mi marcapaso ascienden a $1300, lo que en bolívares son 340.743.540 BsF. (trescientos cuarenta millones setecientos cuarenta y tres mil quinientos cuarenta bolívares), mas los gastos hospitalarios, que son aproximadamente $500. Esto suma unos $4000 que exceden por mucho los sueldos de mis hijas y nietos. Podrán ver los montos en el presupuesto del marcapaso en los informes que anexo aquí, así como mi informe médico indicando que se necesita cambiar la batería.

Lamentablemente, no contamos con ayuda de ningún tipo, debido a la  fuerte inestabilidad económica, social y política que afronta el país. Es por eso que recurro a este medio para pedir la ayuda de todos ustedes. Aunque puedan contribuir con poco o simplemente compartirlo, cualquier ayuda será muy útil, y lo agradeceré profundamente.

Mi nombre es Karen Castillo Fernández, nieta de Ilusión Morales de Fernández, yo soy la encargada de la campaña para recolectar fondos para poder cambiar el marcapasos de mi abuela. Mi prima Natalia Rodriguez Fernández es la encargada de manejar el dinero que irán a su cuenta de banco Americana (Bank of America) y luego serán transferidos, cuando se llegue al monto, parte del dinero se usará para comprar el marcapasos nuevo y la otra parte para gastos médicos y la cirugía.

 Hello, everybody. My name is Ilusión Morales de Fernández, ID number E-720.006, widow to Juan Fernández. I’m 78 years old, and I live in Caracas, Venezuela.

I arrived at this beautiful country when I was just 18 years old. This is where I saw my family come alive. This is where I had my 3 daughters and where I saw my 5 beautiful granddaughters grow.

Venezuela has been and always will be my home. However, I face a health condition that leaves me no option but to ask for help here, given the harsh economic situation my country has been going through for many years now.

I have a pacemaker that’s running low on battery and it needs to be replaced urgently. I’ve had it for 10 years now, but according to my last medical checkup, the battery will only continue working for around 7 months. I am a very healthy person, and I wish to live many more years so I can continue seeing my family grow and prosper, but I need your help to keep my heart beating.

A new pacemaker is currently $2,200. In bolivars, that is BsF. 572.000.000 (Five hundred seventy two million bolivars). Additionally, the medical expenses for its replacement go up to $1,300. In bolivars, that is BsF. 340.743.540 (three hundred and forty million, seven hundred and forty-three thousand, five hundred and forty bolivars), adding the general medical expenses. This sums up to a total of $4000 that far exceed my daughters’ and grandchildren salaries. You can see the estimates for both my new pacemaker and medical expenses in the attached medical reports.

Unfortunately, we don’t have any support due to the economic, social and political instability that Venezuela is facing. This is why I come to you to ask for help. It doesn’t matter how little or how much you can contribute, even sharing this would help, any help is very welcome and I will be deeply grateful.

I'm Karen Castillo Fernández I'm from Venezuela but currently located in the United States, Ilusión Morales de Fernández's grandaughter, I'm the one creating the campain to raise money to change my grandsmother pacemaker. My cousin Natalia Rodriguez Fernández is the one in charge of the funds which are going to her American bank account (Bank of America), when we accomplish the goal, part of the money would be use to buy the new pacemaker, and the other part for medical expenses and surgery.
