Dear Incredible, Empathetic, Gracious Human Being,

   First of all, thank you.  Before I get any further into this, I’d rather thank you for getting this far with me than waste any of your time.  For gifting me a moment of your attention, I already truly appreciate it.

And now straight into it:
   As you already know, I’m a trans woman.  And recently I’ve decided to go forward with bottom surgery, aka ‘Gender Confirmation/Affirmation Surgery’, aka ‘Vaginoplasty’.


(...I’d also like to make a quick aside and remind all that women with penises are equally valid women; any surgery is never a necessary qualifier nor criteria for anyone who identifies as female, or in the case of any variety of gender identity, transhood, or non-binaryness. 
Also that there is no ‘one way’ to transition...)


   This is both quite a hugely personal public share, as well as what I hope to be a very mundane decision / event / next step in my life.  

   My surgery date is set and fast approaching on May 31st, meaning right now I’m a mix of nerves & excitement preparing for it and the recovery afterwards.

   Working freelance in the film industry, I’m lucky to have insurance and loads of amazing supportive people around me, but still need help paying a portion of my surgery cost.  

   That’s where this crowdfunding comes in-
