Fanny's Medical Fund

Hi Friends and Family,

I’m creating this fund on behalf of my good friend Marycarmen Askari. In October 2015 her mom, Fanny Villar, came to Dallas, Texas from Venezuela to visit Marycarmen and her family and help them with their new family member addition (baby Kaiden was born on November 9, 2015) and was planning to stay in USA until March 1, 2016.

However, on January 24, 2016, she was taken to the ER after a 911 phone call, due to a severe back pain that wouldn't allow her to get up on her own from the bed, nor could Marycarmen and Kaivan help her do that. After numerous tests she was diagnosed with breast cancer, stage IV, metastasis to her entire back bone (from top to bottom), specially on the vertebrae T6 where the damage is so severe, that she needs to have emergency surgery to stabilize the bone there before any other possible treatment is applied to get rid of the cancer. The risks of this surgery are very high, but the risks of not doing anything on the back bone before treating cancer are just as high. The spinal cord is compromised in this area of her back since the tumor is so close to it.

As you can imagine the surgery, hospital bills, cancer treatment and medicine cost a lot of money. Fanny doesn’t have an insurance to cover the medical expenses here in the United States, and her husband, Angel, is currently waiting for his green card to get approved so that he can come to the states to start legally working and help his wife's situation.

Right now Mary, Fanny and all their family are going through the battle, that they will, of course, WIN, but they need help from friends and family members.

Any amount you donate is appreciated beyond words. And if you cannot contribute money, there are so many ways you can help, like: bring meals, help them with their kids (Kian 2.5 years old & Kaiden 2.5 months old),  run errands and many many prayers!!!
