Mary Cappos Beauty Shop Fire

On Sunday December 24th 2017 around 9:00am my mother Mary Cappos received a phone call that her beauty shop on 47th and Avers MC Styles had burned with extensive damage nothing to be salvaged. This was my moms main source of income since losing my dad 4 years ago. She has run this business for over 30years. Inside she lost all of her supplies which not only she used in her shop but she used them do in Home visits to elderly clients that could no longer visit her shop. My mom has always used her shop as a gathering place for everyone, she employed several people over the years that have helped her touch so many people. From those losing hair to disease and needing to transition to a wig, or those that simply need a moment to remember they were important and beautiful. For my family most of us had our hair done for school dances, weddings and other family events right in those 4 walls. We are hoping to raise this money to help her replace items to at least continue her in home visits and to cover cost of bills which she will no longer have her income to pay.
