Martin the Medical Miracle

Donation protected
My brother Jonathon Martin is a medical miracle. On 8-21-18  at four in the morning he had a massive seizure and his wife called 911.  He was transported to Clinton Memorial where they discovered a brain bleed and had him taken by care flight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton,  Ohio.  They found that he had a genetic aneurysm that was very large that had ruptured and flooded all four chambers of his brain. They did not expect him to survive the first day.  The Drs. took him into surgery immediately and put metal coils in the aneurysm so that it would not fill back up with blood.  He survived the surgery but had suffered a massive stroke during this time.  They went into surgery again three more times over the next couple of days to insert drain tubes into each side of his head to release pressure from blood and fluid build up.  On 8-25-18 they discovered the pressure was so high it had caused him to have every type of stroke there is.  The damage done to his brain was beyond repair...or so they thought.  They removed the entire left side of his skull and miraculously his pressure numbers were going down. On 9-14-18 he went back into surgery and had a synthetic skull replacement done. He once again looked like my handsome bub.  On 9-17-18 they went into surgery with him once again to put a shunt in which will drain any fluids off his brain into his stomach. As of today 9-26-18 they discovered from a ct scan that there is still a ventricular bleed and fluid build up.  We are unsure what their next steps will be.
physicians assistant tell me that they hardly ever see real miracles on the intensive care unit floor but that Jonathon was a true miracle.  They never thought that he would ever open his eyes again but now here he is eyes open,  squeezing hands on demand, and most recently even talking.  He has a very long road of rehabilitation ahead of him but we are staying hopeful.  Jonathon was the sole provider for his family and now of course we are unsure if he will ever work again.  His wife has not left his side during all of this and doctors believe it is her love for him and the comfort of her being there is helping him tremendously.  She is unable to work at this time and has no income.  Bills are racking up and with christmas coming up she is so worried.  Her mom is staying with their kids right now but as soon as Jon is sent to Drake rehab she will have to go home.  We are asking PLEASE if you can give any amount of money to help us out it is greatly appreciated.  Our situation is urgent!! They have four children between the two of them and with schooling, sports, food, and gas with the hospital being an hour away, money is very limited.  If you are unable to help with cash please consider food donations, gift cards, etc.  If you have any questions you can contact his wife Stephanie via facebook Thank you and God Bless all of you, remember him in your prayers everyday!!
