Martin Family Support

Donation protected
On June 12, 2018, Luke Martin tragically took his own life. He is survived by his wife Aerika, and their 4 children.
Anyone who knew Luke, knew what a committed husband and father he was. In his moment of despair, he could not have foreseen the gaping hole that his passing would leave behind in the hearts and lives of those who loved him. His family and friends are now left to pick up the broken pieces of their hearts, and do their best to move forward and heal without the presence of this husband, father, brother, son, and friend.

Because of the restrictions of his life insurance policy, which excluded coverage for suicide, Aerika will receive absolutely no benefits from his policy. What little social security is available will be divided among his 4 children. Aerika is left on her own now needing to pay for housing, food, medical bills, and childcare while she works at her job cleaning office buildings at night. She is strong, and she will get through this with the determination and strength we all know her to have, but Aerika desperately needs the help of her community to provide a new start for herself and her children. Any support we can give this young family would be greatly appreciated. Every donation, big or small, would not only help Aerika and the kids get established with their new reality but would also shower them with loving intentions and encouragement. Please give whatever you can, and leave words of encouragement for them to read. The memories we have of Luke are all this family has left.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, love, and support.  We know that Luke would have wanted his family care for in his absence, and this is our opportunity to do so in his memory.

RIP, Luke Martin. You were a good man, with the biggest of hearts. Your capacity to love was matched only by your ability to forgive and your desire to do right by your family. May your children hear only the good you possessed, and remember only the beautiful parts of your life. You are loved and will be desperately missed by all who knew you.
