First of all, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for their continued support. My family has continued to feel nothing but the love and support of each and every one of you as we continue to navigate these tumultuous waters.
As some of you may know, on Wednesday night at midnight, my family and I attended a Candlelight Vigil for my sister Marla. This vigil was planned by her friends and co-workers at Walmart. And it was beautiful. The outpouring of love we felt that night was just incredible, it is still so amazing to see how many people loved and cared about Marla , and how many people, like us, want justice for her.
As our legal battle continues we ask that each and every one of you do one thing, remember Marla. It can be all but too easy to leave the trials or tribulations of yesterday in the past, but our hope is that no one forgets Marla or her story. We whole heartily believe that the only way we will get justice for our Marla Zane is by remaing vigilant and vocal throughout the entirety of this trial. We are incredibly humbled by your loyalty and devotion to Marla and hope that together we can do justice by her name. We have, most recently, begun our partnership with our local chapter of MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and are humbled by the services and guidance they are so graciously extending to help us in our fight.
I have included some links to the latest articles concerning Marla's case, as well as a few photos from Wednesday nights vigil. As always, if any of you would like additional information please feel free to contact me personally at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On behalf of my entire family, thank you to each and every one of you. Your love and support mean everything to us.

I am writing this letter in the hopes that you will see that the person who so carelessly took the life of my sweet sister, and who had no regard or compassion to stop, is tried as an adult and to the full extent of the law. This has forever changed my family, we can't go see Marla today or tomorrow, this offenders family is able to see her. It's just such a senseless and careless act. Please do what's right and hold her accountable for her actions as well as the man involved. We want justice and to us that means a trial, not a deal.
For this of you asking questions about what the money raised here will be used for...our family will be hiring a personal private attorney to help make sure that the Parker County DA prosecutes our case. The DA for Parker county has one of the most lenianant reputations , meaning he likes to cut deals and we want justice for Marla, which means time served...not money paid.
We have had numerous individuals asking for ways that they can make donations to help with the legal fees that we are about to encounter on our journey to seek justice for our sister Marla.
But first, we want you all to know how much we sincerely appreciate the incredible outpouring of love and support that has been shown to our entire family during this difficult time. Marla was an incredible human being, the immense reach of her infectious personality and charismatic smile has continued to be shown to us through her death.
All of the funds raised here will go towards the legal expenses associated with our case. Thank you to each and everyone of you for the love and devotion you have shown, and continue to show, to our family in Marla's name.
I didnt know you....but I can help every one remember you and make a change in this cruel world.....Lets make it a law that speed bumps be installed in all Walmart parking lots.....name it Marla's Zone law.....play on her name.
May you rest in peace sweet Angel.
