Why give a person a fish when you can teach them how to fish?

Hi! I'm Marilyn and I've spent most of my career in marketing and public relations, working with dedicated, caring people in the non-profit world. I've seen first-hand how much they bring to their organization's mission, and how they go above and beyond in delivering its services. I’ve walked in their shoes…

I've also seen how the non-profit leadership is kept busy, as they juggle programming, HR, marketing, fundraising, finance, and a host of other operational Must Do’s. I’ve walked in THEIR shoes, too…

I've seen them miss the fact that right under their noses are the people who are going to make their organizations awesome! People who are going to have others talking about the cause, believing in it, advocating for it, recommending it. People who are going to bring in what they need - customers, donors or supporters – and money!

These people – the TEAM – are the employees, board of directors, volunteers, and even clients of these organizations!

My mission is to connect the two sides:
First, develop an annual marketing strategy with leadership, based on the organization's needs, wants and capabilities.

Then, I will train the TEAM to implement the plan. I’ll provide a step-by-step system, with templates, task lists, timelines, scripts and checklists. 

The outcome? Marketing and fundraising that is sustainable and will not be affected by leadership and employee changes

With more than 15 years’ international success in non-profit and corporate management, I want to share my broad knowledge and experience about fundraising, marketing, and public relations, and teach people how to fish.
