Mark Hargraves Memorial Education Fund

We are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected death of Mark Hargraves. Mark was a loving husband and dedicated father to his two boys.
Typically true to his character, Mark had made light of a stomach complaint, but eventually went to hospital in the early hours of Tuesday, 10th of December, and sadly died a few hours later. This has been a great shock to us all.
Mark was very proud of his boys attending such an exceptional school and was an enthusiastic and passionate supporter of the rugby and football fixtures in particular.
Mark’s sons have some years to go before they complete their education. Mark was working very hard to meet these costs. As for many professional families, affording this quality of education was a challenge. We know that it would allow Mark to rest easier if they were able to continue this, without having to worry about the financial considerations.
Therefore we have set up this crowdfunding page to invite donations in Mark’s memory, with all proceeds to be administered by our committee members and used solely for the boys’ education. As a close family friend and the boys' legal guardian, I am honoured to take on the role of the Fund Organiser.
Your donation, in any currency, would be greatly appreciated by Mark, who would only want his sons to be able to get the best start in life by completing their education.

We are completely overwhelmed and grateful by the incredible response to our fundraising efforts. And we offer our deepest gratitude and thanks on behalf of the Hargraves’. There is still some way to go to ensure both boys can complete their education and we have therefore increased our target to the 2nd of 3 phases to £100k. ( The 3rd and final phase will take us to £160K)
