Mark Daley - Emergency Surgery Fund

Dear Friends of Mark Daley,
I am writing on behalf of the Ore House Crew to let everyone know that Mark needs our love and support!
WHAT HAPPENED
Mark was required to undergo an emergency surgery to remove his appendix this past Saturday March 24th, unfortunately the surgery was more complicated than expected. It has been a very trying year for Mark, in January he was in a severe head on collision, while he was driving up to Hesperus to go snowboarding a car slid out of control and into his lane, fortunately no one was severely injured in this accident. Very shortly after that Mark fell while snowboarding and suffered a concussion while he was donating his time to announce a rail jam competition in Telluride and woke up in the ER.
Not to worry, Mark only used up 3 of his 9 lives and is on the road to recovery and we are confident that he will be back to his lively self in no time!
WHY MARK DESERVES SOME EXTRA LOVE!
If you have ever sat at, or near, the Ore House bar while Mark has been working you know what an incredible individual he is. Mark's love for entertaining and making people laugh is infectious and it is a privilege just to sit at his bar to be embraced by such warmth. Mark is remarkably inspiring to all of us here at the Ore House, he is a hardworking, enthusiastic, and a very giving individual and we are lucky to be considered part of his family. Mark is a dedicated snowboarder, skateboarder, mountain biker and outdoor adventure sport enthusiast. Within those realms, Mark is known for encouraging the youth in our community to always wear helmets, quit smoking, and to generally make better life decisions. His influence and popularity is often seen when kids stop by the Ore House just to give Mark a high five while he is working.
Not that we needed to brag about Mark as these are all things that you already know about him, but hopefully this serves to express why we love and appreciate him so much and want to help him get back on his feet! He truly is a Durango celebrity and we all need him here as he makes our small community a better place to call home!
Mark is facing medical bills well over $20,000 and he will be out of work for at least the next 3 weeks. During this time the Ore House is committed to covering his living expenses and giving him all the support he needs during his recovery. We are indebted to Mark as he has been a wonderful employee for the last 10 years and we will stop at nothing to take care of him.
We are reaching out to Mark's enormous network of friends and family to ask for your help. Your help will ease the financial burden and stress that Mark is facing so that he has the best opportunity to quickly heal and get back on his feet to keep entertaining and inspiring all of us!
WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED FOR
100% of the funds generated from this campaign will go directly to Mark to help relieve the stress and burden of the medical expenses and other associated costs incurred during his recovery. When told about this GoFundMe campaign Mark was without words except that he wanted it to be clear that he is committed to utilizing any excess funding to further his reach in the community in supporting youth in their pursuit of safe outdoor recreation. This kind of generosity and selflessness is what Mark is known for and we can't wait to see him back on 2 wheels, 4 wheels or behind the Ore House Bar encouraging us all to do our best!
