To celebrate my turning 26 on January 29th, I went to a club with a friend a few days before. While at the bar, my drink was drugged.

At the club, I collapsed on the stairs and couldn’t stop vomiting, couldn’t move or speak. I don’t remember going to the hospital at all. I sluggishly re-entered consciousness around 9 a.m. to find myself unable to use my left leg. A bone in my leg was broken, the tendons and ligaments torn and and snapped. I had surgery to reattach those broken things with plates and screws a week later.

I can’t use that leg for another six weeks, and for six weeks after that I’ll need to use a boot. The doctor said July is when I’ll be able to stand with just my two legs again, if all goes well.

In the mean time, I have no recourse against the club. No one at the hospital checked my blood. I can’t be at work because my leg has to be totally immobilized. I can’t pay my rent, my bills, my car. Much less the new health insurance I need after turning 26 and going off of my parents’. The cost of living for being a person is high.

I know the dollar amount is high, it’s the minimum I need to make it through two months. If this doesn’t work, I’ll need to take out a loan. It’s my last ditch effort. I don’t have anywhere else to turn. Go Fund Me isn’t very punk rock of me but if you can help, I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t need it.  I appreciate everything and anything.
