Butterflies for a Change.
The Mariposas Bellas Campaign is to raise $8,000 for the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) by May 31st, 2018 and to create a curtain of 16,000 origami butterflies that will be presented at the 2018 National Policy Summit.
The 16,000 butterflies will represent the number of newly diagnosed cases of lupus each year in the U.S. The National Policy Summit in Washington D.C. is where the LFA sits down with government representatives and discusses health care policies for people suffering from chronic medical conditions. This is a cause that benefits all individuals suffering from various health conditions, not just those with lupus. Therefore, it is a huge aspiration of mine to create a visual and financial impact.
