Marie has New Lungs #Sarcoidosis

Marie has her lungs! On 2/23/18 Marie had a double lung transplant. Today she is breathing without assistance for the first time in several years! As we celebrate this miracle we also need to prepare for her to come home.
This GOFundMe is for Marie Steed. She is a devoted wife, my loving mother, loyal friend and currently suffering from Pulmonary Sarcoidosis. It has taken over and severely damaged her lungs and is having surgery for a DOUBLE LUNG Transplant TODAY(2/23/2018)
Sarcoidosis (pronounced SAR-COY-DOE-SIS) is an inflammatory disease characterized by the formation of granulomas, tiny clumps of inflammatory cells, in one or more organs of the body. This disorder can affect almost any organ in the body, including the heart, skin, liver, kidneys, brain, sinuses, eyes, muscles, bones, and other areas. Sarcoidosis most commonly targets the lungs and the lymph nodes, which are an important part of the immune system. When it affects the lungs, it is called pulmonary sarcoidosis. Ninety percent or more of people diagnosed with the disease have lung involvement.
Marie has never closed her door to ANYONE in need, we are asking that everyone take a moment and not just donate, but SHARE this with your co-workers, church family, charitable organizations, and other affiliations that may be willing to DONATE
There are so many big hearts in this world - and Marie is one of them and we can help her through this difficult time and take away some the the financial burden so she can concentrate on healing.

Sarcoidosis is a rare condition, currently Angie Stone and Tisha Campbell along with several have shared their battle with this awful condition.
