Hello! My name is Maria Alacrán, I'm a Trans Latina in Austin, TX, and I need help paying for my name change and electrolysis, so I started this GOFundMe for myself.
Filing my name change paperwork in Travis county will be $300, and after a consultation I found out that my electrolysis will cost $400 and I will need a minimum of four session to completely remove my facial hair.
I know this GoFundMe is actually raising a bit less than the total of what I need, but that is because I have saved a few hundred dollars over the past several months. I'm sending this money directly to my checking account so that I can start the filing process for my name change by next week.
I am very desperate to get everything done as quickly as possible given the results of the recent presidential election. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated, and will help improve my life by making it easier for me to survive and lessening my dysphoria.
