Mariano Garcia's Hospital Finances

UPDATE:
Mr. Mariano’s children, Danny, Gabby, Diana, Mario, Mando, and Ramiro, would like to thank everyone for the prayers and generosity. All of them and the rest of the Garcia family are very thankful for all the love and support surrounding them and Mr. Mariano during these challenging times. To update everyone, Mr. Mariano has been relocated to a rehabilitation facility in Lincoln, Nebraska for long term care. He is no longer in a coma or in critical condition, but the outcome of his recovery is still unknown. He is slowly, but surely progressing back to normal and remembers his family. He shows signs of responsiveness and recognition, and has therapies every day to help him gain his motor skills and speech back. He is becoming stronger by the day, but the length of his stay is still unknown. Mr. Mariano was a man of strong faith with a great heart. The Garcia family would strongly appreciate it if everyone continued their prayers and positive thoughts towards his healing and recovery process. Donations will go towards the travel of the family making regular trips to Nebraska and Mr. Mariano’s medical bills, but more importantly, prayers are welcome and encouraged. God Bless.

On April 12, my father in law, Mariano Garcia, was doing some construction work and fell off a 30 ft. building fracturing his skull, breaking all 12 ribs on his right side, fracturing his cheek and eye bones, and suffering severe brain and body trauma. The impact was so strong, he was unconscious immediately and needed to be flown to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO where a neurology specialist is overseeing his injuries. He's had 1 surgery to repair internal bleeding and his broken ribs and 1 procedure to monitor his brain activity and brain swelling. He is currently in a coma with an uncertain outcome. Mariano is loved by his entire family who all see him as a loving, selfless father & grandfather who devoted his life to providing for his entire family. The Garcia family is in need as the duration of the coma and recovery process is still unknown. Any donations made to support the Garcia family will contribute to the financial burdens left for Mrs. Garcia due to Mariano bringing in the majority of the family's income. In addition, donations will help with growing medical expenses and traveling costs as the family commutes daily from NWA to Joplin.  Mariano is extremely generous and kind to everyone he encounters. He loves his grandkids more than anything, works harder than anyone I've met to make his family happy, and provides for all. During these tough times, we appreciate all prayers/positive thoughts and have put all our faith in God's hands for strength to heal and protect him. God bless and thank you to all those who donate, in advance. You don't know how much the Garcia family and Mariano Garcia appreciate your kindness and generosity.
