Help Maria Cano Beat Breast Cancer

​Maria Cano, let me tell you about Maria. ​For the past few years ​I've had an amazing opportunity to watch Maria grow. ​ ​Let me explain: When she first came to​ work for​ me she didn't say a word, she just worked hard and diligently at her job​ while​ learning color. Our beautiful Maria has blossomed into a beautiful flower. I have never met such an amazing, kind, beautiful ​(​inside and out​)​ person​, ​a single mother raising a well mannered​, bright and considerate​ 8 year old son.

Maria​, in order to support herself and her son, ​work​s​ at the salon and​ then​ ​tends ​bar​ 3 nights a week. ​She shared with me that on ​Tuesday​s​ she​ only gets 3 hours of sleep​, yet, she does her job well and never complains.​​

Friday evening, June 10th Maria's doctor call​ed​ her at work a​n​d ​informed her she​'​s been diagnosed with breast cancer. That day ​I truly saw​ the fear and​ devastation in ​Maria as she held the phone shaking​, crying​ and collapsing​. ​As hard as this is, I can say that ​Maria is a positive ​young woman who will grow and become​ even​ stronger​ with the love and support from all of us​​.
